The 8th Army, DAK, and Italians used each others vehicles with great abandon (pun intended) throughout the North African campaigns.

I seem to recall having read claims that post-Gazala, something like 80+ percent of Rommel's soft transport in North Africa consisted of captured British vehicles.

I'll try to locate the exact reference.
