Just stop attacking, hunker down and see if the other side is inclined to force the issue. As like the 2d day at Antietam or the 4th day at Gettysburg and during the entire face off at Hagerstown.

As noted above, stop attacking and see what the other side does. In the nineteenth century before railways, one or both sides will have to withdraw fairly soon before they all die of disease or starve to death anyway.
