Hi, I'm putting together an 1806 Prussian army using Ab's excellent figures but before I put together a shopping list for Christmas I thought I would check in here. I have heard some good things about the Blue Moon range of guns and equipment but I've never seen them in the flesh. Can any of you shed some light on the quality and how they compare to AB's range. Regards Gav |

I have some Blue Moon French artillery and vehicles. In my opinion they are very good and compatible with AB. |

I agree with Artilleryman. Very good. But you can only buy them in 6 guns. AB can you buy the number you like. |

Agree with previous posters. BM stuff is good and compatible. |

I like the Blue Moon artillery pieces ~ they're nicely cast and the proportions of the barrels to carriages looks right to the eye. It is a pain having to buy them in sixes though. Why???? I love AB Figures ~ it's all I use, but their cannons are probably their weakest line ~ as others have noted before, the wheels on their French pieces are simply mounted too far apart. They're very, very detailed models, but they just don't look quite right. On the plus side, AB Russian cannons include the elevation mechanism, a nice touch, which is clearly missing on the Blue Moon guns. Hope that helps. |

Check out my Prussian Artillery vehicles collection and My Mostly Finished Russian Artillery Park, mostly AB figures or Blue Moon. The Engineer wagons are Blue Moon On the Russians the limbers with threads in the fan out are Blue Moon. |

Thanks for the input everyone. I may order place an order for some Blue Moon guns to compare them with a couple of AB guns that I picked up on Ebay and take it from there as compatibility doesn't seem to be an issue. Brownand -- 14Bore is referring to his posts on the Gallary page. Regards Gav |
