… is Plague

"Questions I've heard recently, and questions I've asked myself:

"Why do I feel tired all the time?"
"Why is is harder to write? Why do I feel uncreative?"
"Why is communication more difficult?

After listening politely to a long and rambling story, my father would sometimes say, "That story reminds me of the parable of the boy and the dolphin."…"

In a plague, all the normal rules stop working.

This, and everything derived from it was also not written about war. Most likely a literary decision made by a writer who has never been in a war. The other entire five sentences about war, tend to indicate the same thing … war is an abstract concept to this person.

The same goes for famine. There's a little more material, but the flip joke about cannibalism at the end indicates someone who has never been hungry enough to consider it. I would assume "starving" for the author is "I skipped lunch today, so I grabbed some snacks".

The interesting thing about death, is the author skips the point that what you fear about war, famine, and pestilence, is … death. Nobody enjoys being in pain and incapacitate by disease, hunger, or violence (well, OK, some people do), but the big looming threat for all three is still death.

"Why do I feel tired all the time?"
"Why is is harder to write? Why do I feel uncreative?"
"Why is communication more difficult?"

Because I live in a first world country where "feeling uncreative" is a problem?

The worst is whichever one causes you the most suffering. When it comes; I pray for a quick death.
