As I can be a very impatient guy I tried out a different. Miniature manufacturer. I have completed quite a table full of Vietnam terrain but have no inhabitants so I didn't want to wait until Empress Miniatures brings out civilians in their Vietnam war range and bought some from Full Metal Miniatures. Don't get me wrong, you can never have to many civilians, so i will buy the Empress ones, too when they are avalable .

As you can see the figure hight is comparable, the Full Metal Miniature in the centre of the picture is just a bit chunkier. For me it is a close enough fit to use miniatures of both brands on the same table.

Great title for a posting. Certainly grabbed my attention. I was very impressed with the few figures I got in the early days of this company, but had no idea how much they had expanded the range.(It does pay to advertise).

I only had the Catherine Leroy figure and the stretcher party. I thought they were possibly even chunkier than Gringo40s, but worked fine in combination. The early US helmet shapes did attract some criticism I recall, but a bit of sanding and filing fixed mine.

This "civilian" of yours just screams at me that he "works for the US government" in Vietnam. Cheatham does not look to be pleased to see him or welcome this new "adviser"!

Yes, that company has a lot to offer especially the civilians for villages and paddy fields. Many more to come in the next weeks . Have about 20 others to finish.
