I am delighted to see that Gringos40 is getting back into Napoleonics (however great the Hue 68 releases were). To join the lancer and the kettledrummer (he is terrific) we now have a Red Lancer Trumpet Major and an officer. The former I had a go at thirty years ago using Hinchliffe figures, but the head swap was never too stable, with the so called superglues of the time. This one looks a better bet! The officer could be Polish or Dutch/Red/Second Guard Lancers I guess, but the horse is slightly more the latter (stress I think so anyway). Sheepskin over and no crowned N on the front of the saddlecloth/shabraque.

Now here is what I really wanted and arrived this morning. The trumpet major painted up and superbly so. Grey horses are tricky and dappled even more so…….

Ged – could I very politely give some feedback on your website? When I go to explore your Napoleonic range and click on 28mm Napoleonics there is a dropdown menu but this doesn't work (it can't be clicked on, at least not using Chrome). So the only alternative is to click on that 28mm Napoleonics button. This takes the user to a new page with three options 28mm Napoleonics (again?!), 28mm Personalities, and Marmelukes. The Marmelukes link works fine but the other two bring up a 404 error message. So, in brief, it's impossible to see any of your (doubtless excellent) ranges except the Marmelukes. Please accept this as constructive criticism! I am very interested in being a customer! |
