Over the last few years my man cave has become overrun with projects and storage. When I retired in May I decided to tackle this Augean Stable of miniatures and hobby material. I moved all my miniatures from plastic file cabinets to Really Useful Boxes. Then I added some additional Billy bookcases from Ikea and attached heavy duty casters and handles. All the RUBs, boardgames, boxes of plastic minus and rules are now stored on them.

My 3d printers moved from the middle of the floor to the wall, freeing up that area for the recliners which my wife has been wanting since she got them. As you can see at the painting station I think I have found every paintbrush I have ever owned during this process.

All the comforts of home; TV, fridge, liquor cabinet and comfy seating. The wooden table expands to a 4x6 gaming with terrain storage underneath. The oversize boxes of terrain are on moving dollies so they can be easily moved out of the way. Now to get back to painting.

Brilliant space saving use of the bookshelves.

Great idea to put the shelving on casters.

"Great idea" as in, I'm gonna steal it.

Make sure you use heavy duty casters. I recommend the ones with a U shape attachment

Plastic tile guide from the local hardware store and a 16' strip of led lights from Amazon. Total cost less than $30 USD

Congratulations! I've done several last reorganizations over the years, and they're always fun.
