Today I finished the publication of the Genty series showing the Prussian army. I used the comments of Richard Knötel in order to identify the units and also mentioned variations of other plates.

Just follow link to browse through this important contemporary source for the Prussian army of 1815.

Very nice find, Markus. I've bookmarked the site.

Thank you for sharing.

Very nice looking, however the translate button only changes the title it doesn't change the body. My German is very rusty almost 30 years.

@COL Scott

Yes, it is unfortunately just for the menu and the titles … as I'm sill on job my time is limited and I afford it for the publication on my several sites relating to the Napoleonic and 70/71 sites. Perhaps you may open the site with Chrome browse which eases the usage of the Google translator (at least a little help).

Wow, some of those are seriously at odds with what I've seen before, notably this one link – blue coat and green schirmutze…!

and this one link

- Westphalian Landwehr but in white overalls, a Kollet and a British stovepipe shako.

It seems like almost anything goes for this army…

I had a few regiments in those Russian uniforms after tiring of painting the same figures. But couple years or so ago was talked out of them as they might be after Waterloo, so they all got stripped down and sent over to the Russianss and picked up sensible Prussian uniforms.
