All, have been having quite fun playing Warlord Games Judge Dredd (2d edition) skirmish game. However, I'm always cautious that WG tends to drop lines at the slightest whim without any real notice, often leaving lines somewhat incomplete. There are still gaps in this line. So, my question is: 1. Where is a good source of 32mm sci-fi civilians? The game has rules and a need for civilian figures, but no set (as of yet) for them. 2. What about robots, such as the iconic ABC combat robots? Again, the rules exist for construction, security, medical and combat robots, but as of yet no figures. I'm looking for an alternate source of "close enough" just in case WG drops this line before adding the elements in… thanks ahead of time if I don't further respond. |

Maggot, Camcleod gives good advice, both these miniatures ranges I have many of in my collection. However I don`t have any dread stuff, but I can tell you that both of these come up a bit small compared to modern GW fare. Coppelstone are 28mm and Hasslefree are small 28mm, both are lovely. This said assuming Dread stuff is heroic 32mm like everything else these days??? I am using Mantic sci-fi stuff for similar, its relatively cheap, non-GW looking but still slightly small as big28 or just 30mm sizes-ish. Good luck and happy hunting. Glen |

They lost me at 32mm. Every time someone escalates the scale on a franchise line--Dredd, John Carter and Star Wars come immediately to mind--I just have to shrug and only expand my existing forces when something turns up in the flea markets. Scale creep is a temporary edge for a firm, but a long-term detriment to the hobby. |
