On day 4 of my Napoleonic campaign, while the French attacked Russian troops at Inask the Russians went on the offensive near the city of Bolkhov. Here is the battle report.

Wow, epic AAR, thank you! That really does read like an actual historical Napoleonic slugfest. Your combo of Scharnhorst campaign system and BBB for the tabletop action seems to have worked really well. Yes, the big river turning the battle into three bridge fights turned out a bit limiting, and yes, map campaigns can create the 'tail wagging the dog' problem and don't necessarily generate interesting tabletop games – but yours was exciting to read about, even if it eventually became a slog to play through.

Agree with Chris here. Very interesting to read your account and see the same issues crop up that often did so historically! I look forward to seeing how it develops from here if you continue.
