Is the answer … "avec leur bouches"?

I imagine pretty much like the rest of us: open mouth, insert food item(s), close mouth, chew, swallow, does that pretty much cover it?

My guess would have been "French Fries" ! 🍟

Brian Smaller23 Oct 2020 11:14 a.m. PST

I always thought it was "frogs and snails and …."

Escargot … meh. They're too small and if you drown something in enough butter and garlic, it just tastes like garlic and butter.

Japanese sea snail. Bigger than your fist. (Well, bigger than my fist … I don't know you.) That's a snack.

food in France is great!

In general … yerp. I was talkin' 'bout salade Niçoise the other day (and I love me some Knee-swazie salads) and someone asked me, "Do you like French food?" And I said, "Well, I like food. And French food is a subset of that, so … yes!"

Yum. I could go for some baguette and warm brie about now -- oh, actually, that's already out on the dining table. Bon appetit a tous!

You no doubt heard about the explosion at the cheese factory last night…?

Nothing left but…debris…

Took me years and years to figure out that I don't like cold food. I like my sandwiches, snacks, meals, etc. hot. I don't like picnic food, or deli food, or sushi, or cold cuts, or shrimp cocktail. What the hell is that. Cook shrimp, chill cooked shrimp, serve with horseradish ketchup, charge $16 USD four four of them. My worst nightmare for work meetings is the dreaded cold-cut sub with a bag of chips and a cookie. PB & J is about as close as I can get to room temperature food. Chips and the other bagged snacks that make me obese are the exception. Did I go on a tangent? Point is, they look like they're having a good time. Right on!

The closest I come to French cooking is when I drag out my Julia Childs cookbook & make cream puffs. They're a mess to eat, but oooh they're good… ;-)
