This is the squad leader of the 3rd Squad . It is the Empress miniature combo of an officer and his RTO with a slight difference. I sawed of the head of the officer figure. I removed the original head and added a head showing myself sculpted by Paul Hicks More here: link |

Well I am impressed. I do recall seeing that there were companies who would recreate one's features based on photos, but a Paul Hicks' original is quite a coup. Dumb question. How did you secure the head. If the answer is a pin and superglue, then how the heck did you drill the hole? I am working on head swaps in 1/72 for Prussian cavalry. I eventually managed one, using a hand drill and a single (now ruined and expensive) drill bit. I have 23 to go….. |

Indeed i pined it on . I use a Dremel with a really very small drill. The hole it generates is to small for the wire pin but I use a bigger drill bit to enlarge the hole so the small one is just a guid for the lager drill . Makes it easier , at least for me. |
