"Universal Beijing Resort today revealed some new details about plans for its upcoming theme park and hotels, including a video that showcases some concept art for the many themed lands, attractions, and more. Work began back in 2014 on the ambitious Chinese theme park, which is a joint venture that is 70% owned by Beijing Shouhuan Cultural Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. and 30% owned by Universal Parks & Resorts, and now it's almost time to unveil the massive project to the public.

Akin to Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Beijing Resort encompasses a theme park, multiple hotels, and a Universal CityWalk hub, and this new video shows all of these off. The theme park is divided into seven distinct lands: Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness, Transformers Metrobase, Minion Land, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World Isla Nublar, Hollywood, and Waterworld…"

Pretty cool. While you are in China don't forget to visit one of thier other theme parks: Uighur World. There you'll be able to experience what it's like to have your Human Rights violated, social accounts sanitized, get a CCP life membership, and if you are lucky donate a kidney. Hurry, admission is free to qualified visitors. Just don't book a room at the Hotel California.

OK, if that's what you want your dollars to support; and note the recent news feeds that the PRC is willing to "kidnap" visitors as retaliation for legal actions against PRC- controlled companies or agents.

40+ years ago one of my economics professors was Swiss, and informed us students of the number of Tibetan expatriates who had sought refuge in his country (unwilling to kow- tow to the PRC).

I try to avoid buying anything produced by the PRC if at all possible.
