I placed orders with Battlefront in late May and early July. Half of each of the orders was out of stock / backordered. I've only received one (arrived last week) of the backordered models since then. Yes, I know they don't charge me until they ship my order, but that doesn't make it less frustrating. All of the items that I've ordered are still showing as available for ordering on their store. So, is anyone else experiencing these problems with Battlefront? |

I had an identical experience earlier this year. Everything was blamed on the Corona virus. I had to write to them to get this explanation out of them. They weren't very communicative. I eventually got everything I ordered in four separate lots over a few months but the whole thing was very unsatisfactory. |

To be fair, I suspect that may be, and/or probably is true. The current situation is disrupting a lot of things, though that is no excuse for poor communication. They should at least post something on their website, or some sort of warning for people ordering, but I suspect even that may be difficult to do, when/if you are understaffed, and swamped with orders. I imagine this may continue for a while. |

Ordering since the item is shown as available, then having the item zeroed out, is very common with many companies using a shopping cart system at their on-line store. This is very common even when I order from a distributor. If you shop on line rather than shopping at a local store, then get used to it. It will continue to happen regardless of the company. Bashing the company will not really help. If you are isolated and have to buy on line then sigh and expect problems. |

I have had no issues, but I have been ordering new items, so backorders have not been involved. |

Rudy, So Battlefront is the manufacturer, not just a retailer. I would think they would know what they have in stock. None of the local stores carry FoW anymore. Laser,
Some of the items that I ordered had just been released at the time too, and were out of stock. Still haven't received them. |

Gear pilot, you are mistaken. I have only been in the industry since 1983about 37 years. So I was there when sales to customers shifted from retail to direct by the manufacturer. The group hits hardest were the distributors. Many shut down and all changed or reduced range stock. In regards to availability, if a customer is looking for a older item number, they are more likely find it sitting as dead stock at a retail store than the manufacturer. They tend to stock the hot new product. There are too many item numbers out there to stock one or multiple items at all times. I worked with several companies that list all of their items as available. However, they only cast a pack that it ordered. Until it is ordered, there is no item on the shelf. This is common with most companies that have a massive number of stock items. |

To be clear, I am not defending Battlefront. I stock very little n the way of miniatures and never books unless special order. I hate the books since they can become dead stock with the release of new editions or revisions. I also do not like the discount to stores or other sales policies. So I am not defending them. |

Battlefront is New Zealand IIRC, which was on total lockdown for a good long time so its not surprising there have been delays. |

To me, the point is more about why out of stock items are still listed as being in stock. |

@altfritz , BF's factory is in Malaysia . Funny how I haven't had much trouble with when ordering from UK companies . |

I'm sure it all depends upon supply chains, and how much they are disrupted. I've seen quite a few notices on UK manufacturer sites stating that they have been impacted. Each company and country has been impacted in different ways. To try and explain how any specific order might have been impacted surely would take too much time and effort. yes? Time better spent filling orders not effected. |

I wish their webstore would say out of stock if an item is not ready to ship. If it's back ordered the product gets made in Malaysia. Shipped to the UK, and probably sits in 14 day quarantine in this crazy new world. |

Just wondering: Are you ordering from their US distribution site (North East, Md.) ? I know that Critical Hit Game store in Abingdon.MD. seems to have all the Battlefront items in stock. |

I have had the same troubles!!!! Very poor customer communications make it even worse. And they do not even stock new items. It took me months to get LAVs for my USMC force based on the brand new US book. They are what they are!!!! |

very poor communications with the end users. I had 2 orders through a store and took 4 months to get stuff back. New releases the store was told sold out- have to reprint new cards. (I think Battle front has money problems and needs to print/case on demand, which is taking them months) I order from their website and waiting on those orders as well with no communication since their generic "we are processing your order" which was a few weeks ago. Going to run their 3rd annual Toys for Tots event on Dec 5th. They will probably be delayed with their prize support as well. |
