I'm amazed that iced tea made it so far, since it's a different way of making tea, not a variety of it. Heck, I used to make iced earl grey all the time. |

Yorkshire/(Gold) for Everyday (especially during the Summer) Chai's (Various, but Trader Joe's is best) #2 Earl Grey/Lord Bergamot #3 Basically, I love my Y/G during the summer as it covers all the bases, Fall-Spring…Chai's, EG & others, since I can enjoy and savor them with a (audio) book outside. |

As it get's colder it has to be a cup of "Gunfire" and the rum has to be Pussers |

"Earl Grey" Are you kidding me?? I tried it once because Picard drinks it and it sounded way cool. I hated it! I'd Rather drink Lipton's! |
Huscarle | 10 Oct 2020 9:03 a.m. PST |
I have to agree with Glengarry5's dad. Earl grey is one of the most awful teas to drink, and I'm a tea-drinker. |

Von Trinkenessen… Would that be Russian Imperial Gunpowder Tea? Had it once, LOVED it, but never found it again. |

Is Earl Grey the one that tastes like boiled socks or the one that tastes like socks boiled after being worn for a week? I still maintain that tea should be drunk only in England and only if the other choice is English coffee, which tastes like a mixture of the melted soles of old running shoes and bicycle chain oil. Aside from this, I have no opinion on tea one way or the other. LT

Fraid not Andrew, tis a military thing black tea with a generous tot of rum in it. I drink lots of different artisan teas from a company called Bird & Blend discovered when dropping my eldest off at university. Most of what I drink is blended around a Yerba Matte base or Lapsang / Russian Caravan tea. Although my wife received some great tea as a gift from one of her pupils: Golden Pekoe tea from Mauritius bought from the actual plantation. In all I think we have approximately 20 different teas at home, partaken depending on the mood or situation. |
