There seems to be a lot of fodder for skirmish scenarios in this article.
I would suggest that some of the smaller raids could/should be conducted with rules where your "faction" is up to 8 men.
We have used rules like Gloire, WRG's Fire and Steel. We've also done a lot of modern skirmish with the superb "It Came from beyond the Still". It's a modern set, but the mechanics are near universal.

Larger scale raids can use the more popular semi skirmish rules. I favor Flames of Liberty, my own adaptation of TSATF.

The man had an active career, for the early part the Tory equivalent of Abraham Woodhull from "Turn". But when caught, he escaped and became an active Partisan Captain.

I love the Journal of the American Revolution. Never a dull issue.

Great find from a great website. I would also point towards
the execution of Joshua Huddy as an example of the "eye for an eye" fighting. See link

If you want heaps of skirmish ideas, get the books by
Norman Desmarais.

I also love the Howard Pyle painting. Its one I've never seen before.

Good article

As an observation, you only wind up being an outlaw and traitor if you are on the losing side

Just sayin'

John;
I have a book about the engagement at Toms River, NJ that has plenty of good fodder for stuff like that.
