This is the training of special forces soldiers of the Internal Troops (anti-terrorist units). The right to a Crimson beret (full-fledged status of a special forces soldier) has only the fighter who has passed the qualification exam. The exam includes the following tests (continuously and for one day): 1. March-throw over rough terrain (10 km) with full weapons and overcoming various obstacles and introductory (for example – transportation of the wounded). Action time – 2 hours. 2. Overcoming the obstacle course. A gap of more than 50 meters from the group or a malfunction of the weapon at the end of the stage – the candidate is suspended from the exam. 3. Assault on a high-rise building. 4. Defeat 2 targets in 20 seconds. 5. Continuously 12 minutes of duel (full contact). Every 3 minutes, the enemy is replaced by a new one. The task is to stand up and fight actively. The exam is held once a year. The right to wear the beret is awarded by the Crimson Beret Council, which is made up of Special Forces veterans. Why are there no women participating? According to recent Hollywood "films," a 110 lb girl with great abs can defeat any number of strapping young lads. I know cause I seen it on the screen. |

One woman has a Crimson beret – Galina Kalinnikova. She is a military paramedic of a special forces group since 1993. She went through two military campaigns in Chechnya, has a combat wound and several state awards. She retired in 2002.
