Are you familiar with HMGS-GL? hmgsgl.org I think there is an active group called 19&1, or 19+1, or something like that. I'll have to find an old news letter to get their contact info. Hopefully somebody else can pipe up and answer your question directly. |

19+1 shut down several years ago. The website is dark and neither the public nor private Facebook groups have had any postings in a year or more. There are several closed groups, including a Nappy's group that has been playing for decades, but I'm not sure if they are currently gaming due to the WuFlu and I don't have contact info for them. I do know of a small group that is still meeting occasionally at a member's home, albeit I don't recall if they are currently playing Nappys-the last game, as I recall, was Franco-Prussian War. If you want to send me your email address I'll pass it on and see if they are interested in adding you to their notification list. My email is dsenfield at aol dot com. |

19 and 1 can't be dead several years. I was playing with the Napoleonics group more recently than that. Last I heard, they'd lost the old club room and were renting space in a motel for games. I'll be surprised if they don't come out of a bunker somewhere once someone sounds the "all clear." |

The 19+1 club closed its doors October 30, 2018, according to the announcement I received and the one posted on its Facebook groups and its web site has gone dark. For a time there were messages posted to the Facebook group arranging games among former members, but the last one I've seen seen was May 2019. It's very likely that some of the former members are still meeting for games, but so far as I know arrangements for those games are done by emails or telephone calls and information about them would not be discovered by any sort of search online or otherwise for "19+1." I posted my message in response to Joe's reference to 19+1 as a club that the op should look for as an active gaming group-it's no longer publicly active as a group and looking for a group under that name would just start the op down a path leading nowhere. I would guess that some of the members who played Napoleon's Battles are still active, but I don't know that for a fact. I mentioned in my posting the one former member who's still gaming and with whom I'm still in contact. I did not include his email address as I'm not sure he would want it made public, but I did provide my email address and invited the op to contact me if he wants to be put in touch with that former member. |
