As a long standing Adler fan, I'm looking at doing some of the minor German states next. In particular I'm looking at Berg and Hesse Darmstadt (then probably some of the Confed of the Rhine Regiments). Has anyone done these in Adler 6mm and if so which figures did you use? |

For Hesse Darmstadt I went with the figures recommended for Early Saxons (Infantry using the British Line and Grenadiers from the AWI range and Cavalry from the Early Prussian line). If your focus is post 1809 then I would recommend French style uniforms with shakos as recommended here: link ) For Berg, I used the French Imperial period: Infantry in shako, grenadiers in bearskin, and Cavalry as Chasseurs A Cheval in shako. You could also base them on the Early Empire figures with Fusiliers in bicorne. Even though Berg was part of Bavaria, I don't think they wore Bavarian uniforms. |

Probably need to be as specific about periods with the Confed as with all the other armies. They too went through inform changes. I concede that in 6mm you dont need to worry so much the different numbers of buttons on cuffs but head gear will stand out and that changed signficantly over the period. Confed of the Rhine figures for 1809 will be completely wrong for 1812 for instance. |
