"This set now comes in two forms, the first type and the second type. The above pictures show all the figures, some of which are only available in the second type box. The below review refers to the first type set – we are currently preparing a revised review to include the new figures, and this will be announced on the front page when it is completed.

SPOILER ALERT! This set is clearly heavily influenced by the Dumas book The Three Musketeers, to which we will frequently refer in this review. We won't be giving away any of the story, but will be discussing the characters, so if you intend to read this book and are sensitive to spoilers then you should consider not reading the rest of this review since inevitably it will reveal elements which you may not wish to know in advance!…"

TBH, this is getting a bit annoying. They did the same thing, adding extras, with their Italian Militiamen 1260-1392.

With the Italian Militiamen PSR say some boxes have half the poses only, ie: only the brickred ones, which I can confirm as Iīve bought the set when it came out*.
Buying Ultima ratio sets in future?
1. Wait until they add the extras to the box.
2.Donīt order online as thatīs a gamble as the wether you get the 1st version or the second with the extras but buy them only if you can actually look in the box first.

Also, if the boxes arenīt sealed and have no indication of actual content itīs a great opportunity for dealers to remove the extra sprue, wait for a while then sell them at a premium.

*Do I feel ever so slightly cheated by buying as soon as they came out and online? Yes I do. Unless I get to see the contents first, I wonīt be buying anything from thier range again. A shame, as they make some nice figures. IMHO, a dumb marketing strategy.
