Looks like a Nazi fantasy.

Looks like a cover image from Signal, but it is beautifully done. How long would the paintwork survive there?

"Don't be shtoopid,
Be a shmarty,
Come and join

With apologies to Mel Brooks.

But, yeah, there's a sense of a "tread head's" dream, Super Nazi, and even homoerotic hint in this.

And, no, I couldn't paint it with a spray can, much less any portion of the artistic quality of the piece.

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe that any tank crew that spends time putting finely detailed decorations on their muzzle-break, is a tank crew that is not planning to shoot their gun any time soon.

Most crew decorations I've seen have been on the mantlet, or the glacis. Could be wrong. Would be interested to see the when and where to go along with any such muzzle art, though, just to ensure it wasn't for parade or propaganda.
