Very cool, the big models definitely make a good spectacle. |

Calling a battle between two ships of the line a skirmish seems a bit too mundane. |

Wow what scale are those ships Cheers Matt French Wargame Holidays "Walk the battlefield in the morning, Wargame in the afternoon" |

Cheers, and yes battle might be more appropriate title :) |

Wow. Really impressive models, beautifully done -- and ever-so-slightly mad. They must be a pain to store and transport. Love the individual sailors and marines. Your friend should add ensigns so that the perfidious British can be distinguished from the dastardly French. ;-) |

these are really nice!! I'm currently working on a 1:96 scale cardstock model of the "Dear Old Surprise." It's actually HMS Enterprize with a few changes. It's a proper beast of a model -4000 or so parts (if you use them all). The hull is 18inches long, 28" to the tip of the bowsprit and 20" tall. It's made by the Polish company "Shipyard." They do HMS Victory too -Hmmmm!!!! I'll post pics of the work so far when I figure out how to add photos! |
