I know this is a rather odd request, but I found a great deal on an item of sports equipment I'd like to buy.
Sadly, the person who has it for sale isn't willing to ship it, and wants cash, not Paypal.
It's about a 5,000 mile round trip for me to pick it up, so that's a non-starter, unfortunately. That'd cost me as much to travel there as the item costs.
So, I'd like to know if there's anyone nearby who would be willing to assist me with making a 1:1 scale purchase, and then pack it in a box and ship it to me?
I'll be happy to compensate you for your time and fuel, if you don't live too far away, and are willing to help.
The item is rather large (large backpack/duffelbag size), at about 50 lbs., and I'd like it shipped via either FedEx Ground service, and/or the US Postal Service, with insurance and signed-for delivery – whichever is cheaper – I suspect USPS.
I can provide more details, and payment via Paypal, if anyone lives nearby, and is willing to help.
Apparently, Williamsburg is just under a 3 hour drive from Grand Rapids.
