Love them. I have been trying to amass the largest selection of M4s variants possible for French 2nd Armoured Division. Currently working on a 1/72 M4A1 and half way through realised I had to change the transmission housing to the three part bolted type. M4 variants are a minefield.

These are large hatch, with Diesel engine covers, early commander's cupola, so M4A3s as used by USA?

I see one in British markings though. Intrigued to identify the model. The weathering on all is superb

M4A3s yes. Good site here. The one with the Brit markings is an M4a3 too, incorrect I know. :) link

Nice work.

Incorrect?

Only a total nerd would know that. Listen. Three months ago I did not even know that the US Army did not call them Shermans at that stage. Call it an M4 A3 105mm and it becomes British…..Sherman IV with a suffix (was it A or B?)

My comfort zone is Napoleonic. I do love to see M4s en masse like this.

My plan is 2eme DB for Paris 44. They did get M4A3s later as they were then part of the US Army. So far I only have a 76mm, "Flandres" of 501eme RCC.

It makes such a nice change to see anything beyond Tigers and Panthers. Your work has inspired me to carry on, so thanks!

Oh dear God.

These are 1/144 scale…..

I assumed Victrix were 28mm basically, whatever scale that is, to go with the range I know from the Boney Wars.

I researched on line and am amazed by the quality you have achieved here. I thought they were great for 1/56 scale…..Blimey, as we used to say in London years ago. These are half the size I have worked with. Much respect now….

Machinehead, those came out great!

They look well traveled, fought, and lived in (stowage & weathering pops).

Nicely done.

Please go back and make them look crappier! It's really hard to avoid buying a bunch of these when they look so nice. grin

Do you have any pictures of them alongside objects for scale? It would be nice to see how small they really are.

Thanks deadhead, 79thPA and FlyXwire. I probably should have put the scale in the post. :) Yellow Admiral here you go.

I was so impressed by these models that I went to the Victrix site and found each set of models comes with some very useful painting tips. That for the M4A3 is particularly interesting I thought;
