Rebel Minis is proud to announce we have added NUTS- Big Battles to our catalog of games.

picture

Created by Ed Teixeira and the team at Two Hour Wargames, NUTS – Big Battles can be played in a variety of ways:
· You can play as a Platoon Leader with a full Platoon.
· You can play as a Company Commander with multiple Platoons.
· You can play as a Fighting Vehicle Platoon Leader or Company Commander with multiple Vehicles.
· You can play large or small games with multiple Squads and Vehicles.

The bottom line is you can play it any way you like, with any figures or even counters you like. You probably already have figures based for Big Battles – 3 to 5 figure Squads on one base. Inside you'll find:
· Rules for infantry combat with over 15 different formations.
· Rules for vehicle combat with stats for over 100 types.
· Four armies to choose from – American, British, German and Russian.
· Pre-generated Missions interlocked to form a Campaign if you want.
· A minimal bookkeeping Campaign System that gives meaning to every game as the results of one will affect the outcome of the next.

You can see NUTS and all of our other games here: link

Available only as a PDF Download.

Thank you for your support!

I wanna believe, so is it easily played and enjoyed as a multiplayer ruleset (by player teams), or is it primarily just configured for two players?

Allow me to ask the annoying question of scale – 28mm? 20mm? 15mm? All of the above?

Looks interesting. Thanks for sharing.

THW rules are designed scale agnostic and for being played solo and multi player.

I like it.

Already have the regular Nuts rules.

So, I presume these just change the way that activations of the units are done, e.g. by platoon, etc., as opposed to individual squads, or vehicles.

Are there any other rules changes?

Looks like it would be perfect for Normandy, Battle of the Bulge, etc..

This is based off memory since I don't have my copy handy. So, caveat emptor…

The basic element is a squad.

Movement is by squad, maintaining cohesion with the platoon (ie. must stay within X inches of another element). Movement is more structured than a skirmish game (you can't just move a squad where ever you want; they can advance forward while drifting to the side and maintain their original facing; they can wheel; and there may be a few more options.

I can't remember is firing is by man or by adding up the weapons in a squad to come up with a single fire factor.

It's designed more to let you act as a company commander and not a squad leader.
