Fantastic job. My sad tale is downloaded Sharpe's Trafalgar but didn't get to read it as it didn't download. But I'll find it sooner or later. |

Terrific work. What superb painting, in incredible detail. I do hope you have told Lon about your work, he is always looking for stuff for his Website Gallery. This is terrific. I have every one of these figures, but mine do not look quite like this……but I love this range anyway. |

From what I can see, really good characterisation, with the Sharpe more like the description which I recall from the books (rather than the TV series). Quality of painting and basing speaks for itself! The short story in your Blog reads well, stylistically in accord though to some extent reminiscent also of Brigadier Gerard (in plot, I mean). Good to see you keeping up the tradition of the Upper Crust being represented in a negative light. The same observations about the same "Americanisms", too, as made by one member on the Blog, though that's a minor matter, with the likely exception of "OK" or "Okay", which I think is a later coinage, and of American origin, rather than something an Englishman "of the lower orders" would have said at the time. "Very Well" would sound all right from an Officer and Gentleman, but maybe Sharpe would just have growled, "Right" (had he been a real person…). By the way, "Father Green" might have struck a similarly patriotic note, and the given name does seem a bit jarring to my hyper-critical Hibernian ears. As Sergeant Harper would say, often, indeed interminably, "God save Ireland!" Now, there was one other addition I thought to have the effrontery to suggest… but I've a grand memory for forgettin', so I have. Good Luck. |

I can't help to say that Sharpe looks Sharp! Cheer! By the way, interesting basing. |
