For those that doubt Lt. Columbo's first name was Frank, if you zoom in on his photo i.d. (he only flashed it a few times) on DVD, there's his name "Frank", plain as day… ;-)

Frank Drebin? Never 'eard of 'im.

The only Frank that I recognised (apart from Columbo) was Cannon played by William Conrad.

Furillo is my favorite of all the TV cops.

Portrayed as a real person with 'real person' problems and
issues, quite a departure from the norm of 35 plus
years ago.

That's Captain Furillo to the likes of you, Ed. :)

I've been in law enforcement a very long time and still believe Hill Street Blues to be the most accurate portrayal of policing in America.

Choctaw, I agree, with Barney Miller for second place.

Lt. Frank Bullitt !!. Steve McQueen, a badass 68 Mustang (that just sold for $3.4 USD million) and a great chase scene.

Frank the pug from MIB 2
