I'm currently playing Team Yankee using the Americans and have come into a bit of a painting dilemma. I've got a pretty reasonable American force that I painted up using the recommended colours for American camoflague in the book. Unfortunately, it seems Battlefront has stopped making the paints anymore. Has anyone found a similar colour to their Yankee Green colour? Before anyone mentions you could always use a different colour, I already have three-quarters of my army in this colour as the base and would like them all to match if possible. |

Is it the green used in the 4-color scheme? If so it would be Forest Green FS34079. There are a number of hobby companies that make this color. Damon. |

The four color camouflage pattern. The Maintenance company had a paint shop which I had to inspect once a quarter as the Division Safety officer. There they had a book showing the templates needed for the pattern. So all of the pattern was the same or virtually the same on each tank or M113, M577, etc. that was in 1979-80. Prior to that my Armored cavalry platoon got to free paint a camp pattern since the maint co did not have a M551 pattern on file. The green was an off green which was not as dark as the forest green. When we got replacement M1, they came pre-painted. The 2nd AD used a desert color camp. Shrimp pink, tan, brown and black. They would been in this color. If they had had to deploy to Germany. |
