Unable to secure the correct 4.7" gun mount in 1/200 scale I went ahead and made my own from scratch link

That is awesome

Awesome is the word, but the A and Y mounts look too far back under the projecting deck above. Other tan that these scratch builds are really capturing the spirit of the destroyers and I can't wait to see them finished.
I also appreciate how you feel about keeping them all scratch built, without commercial parts.

Nice work, though I must admit that getting what I want in the scale I want is why I took up 3D printing :)

Nice work. I built a 20mm gun for a 28mm sub I cobbled together for a Pulp game. Stopping while ahead was wise for me.

BillyNM, nothing is glued down yet, I will double check the placement before I glue anything down, thanks for the heads-up

Rotating the guns – they are mounted on a piece of tubing for the pedestal – can't you just stick a post into the deck to mount them?

I took a good look at the gun placement and you were right, I think this is much closer to proper placements. I also made a ton of Carley floats and took care of some other details link

Tat's better, much more aggressive! Looks less like they're sheltering from the rain… :o)
