Does anyone know if there's a range of 20mm German figures that includes rifle grenadIers for late war units like Volksgrenadiers? |

Well, a Schiessbecher should't be too hard to model on a miniature in 1/72 or 20mm, whatever. A small round rod of plastic glued to the muzzle, not much detail. Schiessbecher On the other hand it could be harder than one thinks, being just about 2-3mm in length in that scale… |

I do have some rifle grenadiers among my various 20mm Germans, but I'm struggling to recall who made them. Platoon 20 maybe? |

SHQ do one or more, FAA do one in their 43-45 range pack TED 14 Panzerknackers |

Thanks, I shall investigate (and may consider a bit of scratch building, although finding a figure with his weapon in the right position may be the hardest part). |

Unrelated – but just seen your blog post about CoC basing. Mt figures are on round bases the same size as a 1p coin. Grunts come on single bases or double bases, i.e. two 1p-sized circles abutting with the intervening indent filled in to create pill shaped base – the same base is used for one or two prone figures. Three circles in a triangle with indents filled in are used for crew served weapons' with up to three crew, additional crew if needed are on single bases. Leaders are on single bases but based on a 1p sized circle inside a square – the corners are rounded off back down to the circle to leave one, two or three corners for junior, senior and more senior leaders respectively. I hope that makes sense? I could send some photos if I knew your email address. |
