Anyone know a good source? Can find 1" Hexes and GHQs Geo Hexes but was hoping to find an economical Mat with bigger Hexes? Thanks! |

I have had a great working relationship with Deep Cut Studios. They are in Lithuania and have great customer service. They can do almost anything you want. |

Have you tried the mats from Cigar Box Battle, a US company? They do have some with hex grids and may be able to print a 2" or 3" hex grid on just about any of their mats. cigarboxbattle.com It can't hurt to contact them about the feasibility of providing what you require. Jim |

Monday Knight Productions carries the cheapest hex mats around, with 1.5" and 2" hexes: link To get 3" hexes I also went with Deep Cut Studios. I had very specific requirements, so I needed custom mats, and Deep Cut Studio turned out to be the most responsive company with the best results. I also really like the cloth material they use – it's thin and smooth so it doesn't catch the miniatures like felt, it's unbelievably durable, and machine washable. Many of the background patterns available are actual photographs, so the realism doesn't get any more accurate. Highly recommended. My local gaming groups also use a lot of Cigar Box Battle Mats, and I like those quite a bit too. They are made of fleece, so probably not quite as durable as Deep Cut mats, but the fabric is a bit stretchy and could probably conform to short 3D terrain features (e.g. styrofoam hills) without too much wrinkling. - Ix |
