"The Italian Wars (1494-1559) were the germ of a new combat unit that would dominate the battlefields for the following decades, the Spanish Tercio, originally formed as a Coronelía; a renovation led by the great Gonzalo Fernandez de Cordoba, the "Great Captain". During these years, the power of portable firearms, such as harquebusiers, became apparent and changed the rules of the game on battlefields. This is one of my favorite periods in history, along with the next century. And taking advantage of the new 15mm miniatures from Khurasan Miniatures of the Italian War, I want to share with you this guide to painting a bronze cannon.
