I painted up two boxes of the Victrix Lancers as the Berg Lancers. Like most Victrix kits, these figures were a bit of a challenge to assemble. The left arms were very small and difficult to attach to the torso. Once assembled, however, they were quite fun to paint. Lots of details.

They look good.

No doubt your next step will be to paint them as chevaux-legers in their earlier amaranth and cream uniform. wink.

Great work, was any conversion necessary for them to Berg lancers?

Looking great I'm about to embark on the same project — I would love to to the Earlier off white and amaranth But because I game mainly 1812-14 it'll be as you have done . I heard the only conversion is removing the shoulder cords? Did you leave their lances or replace with metal ones?

These look fantastic – beautiful figures and really nicely painted!

Am I right that, in the white and amaranth earlier uniform, they did not carry lances?

I would love to see larger images of these.

Yes, me too. Would be nice to see much more detail. Does anyone know what the head options are for this set? Are there campaign heads in covered oilskin?

deadhead- I believe you're right- they were plain Chevaux-Legers to begin with.

Winser54 – lovely painting on your figures. You have a splendid regiment there. I thought about Berg Lancers, but went with painting mine as Imperial Guard Polish so that I can (nearly) use them as the identically coloured Russian Constantine Lancers (if I ignore the Napoleonic insignia).

Lord Hill – yes, there are covered czapskas (and plenty of them). I posted a review and a sprue photo here: link .

Your pics are surely great but appear far too small here.

This is surely remarkable work and needs a better look. Any chance of bigger photos?

Cannot work out the "Palsy" comment above. (Does not need an "E"). Not enough detail to see if a VII nerve, Bell's Palsy. Could it be an Erb's Palsy of the shoulder? There is many more an eponym attached but it beats me.
