When did Modern end? Not sure I actually disagree with you, but is not anything in the Cold War "modern"? But tonight, over many a drink, I introduced Mad Mitch and the Arg and Suth Highlanders in Crater, Aden, to the great bemusement of the family, other than Mrs F, who actually recalled the BBC coverage. My three sons mocked until some one picked up this phone thing they all carry. How old is "Oldnorthstate"? VN is modern to us, so is Aden, so is the Bay of Pigs, so is the Falklands etc etc. It all depends if you remember the Beatles getting started, saw the Stones in a Church hall (I did), or saw the G Dead in 67/68 (I wish) |
