"The Navajo Nation could buy the gun maker that became the target of litigation by Newtown parents after the 2012 Sandy Hook school massacre, according to the Wall Street Journal. Remington Arms is exploring filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection from creditors in the coming days, according to the a Journal report. As it does, the Navajo Nation reportedly is considered purchasing the company as part of a 2018 bankruptcy restructuring by Remington that transferred ownership of the manufacturer to the parent company of Franklin Templeton Investments and JPMorgan Chase…" Main page link Amicalement Armand

Better than a Casino.But if they have had this money all along,why has it not been used to help the tribe..I used to live in Flagstaff…and they have a rampant Unemployment problem,plus about 75% alcohol rate.Lot of the reservation doesn;t even have Utilities.You can;t blame the BIA for everything.Help your people. |

I don't know the full story, but this could be a step in that direction, especially if they relocate facilities to Navajo communities to provide new jobs. Damon. |

Given current news, and very high sales, I find it difficult to understand how any decently managed, gun company could be hurting, financially. That's probably the rub, which is confirmed by their product marketing decision, given the statement in the article. |
