Never thought about building tabletop terrain for a Dr. Who game, until now. Yikes! You would need to build everything: heavy SF/Fantasy stuff, as well as every period of Earth history… Ouch! I think I would just use a vinyl gridded mat, and erasable markers. I could see buying the SF/Fantasy mini's, as well as various historical periods, but even those would add up very quickly. Wow. Eye-opening post, Armand. Cheers!
