Greetings, one and all, Are there any lines of 28mm fantasy minis in the style of the late renaissance? Especially the Landsknect or Conquistador styles? (Tudor also OK) I have failed my google-fu roll… Regards, keith frye |

Games workshop empire troops fit the bill and a lot of their stuff is also available on ebay. Also Gamezone miniatures has an imperial line: link Bruegelburg miniatures as well available from several sources I believe: link I use a lot of Artizan and Steel Fist landsknechts to supplement my empire troops. Skull & Crown do some awesome medieval renaissance skeletons: link |

TAG for Halflings and Dwarfs (there is nothing like the feared armoured chicken Gensdarmlings). Foundry for Orks and Ogres, some Dwarfs For a good mixture of fantasy human Characters in early 16th century style I also recommend MOM Miniatures – resin minis from Spain. If you have time, join one of their Kickstarters. The value for money is impressive. momminiatures.com Other humans minis with a heavy fantastical touch are the old GW Empire troops; and with a light ahistorical touch the plastic sets of Warlord Games. Or just go directly for historical minis, eg. from Steel Fist, Wargames Foundry, Warlord Games (metal line) and a host of others… If you want something more specific, let me know. |

before I've stopped gaming WHFB when they've killed Old World, I wanted to do Renaissance army based on Foundry, Artizan, WHFB and Reaper/Freebooter and Bruegelburg miniatures. I've even assembled and primed most of them, but haven't painted much of them so far. Steelfist is smaller than most of other models mentioned before, I also got halflings from Westfalia publishing, and halflings and dwarfs from White Knight link White Knight halflings are larger than old GW and Westfalia, but you can say that they're better fed…. |
