Hi guys Doing some work on the Wurttemberg army commanders base, used an Italeri ACW cav figure as the base of the commanders conversion, still need to do some work on the gun. Not sure how I will base the infantry, I was going to go with my usual single fig on a round base, but I considering either 4 figs on 25mm square, or 2 figs on a 20mm square, received the Artillery and Cavalry boxes in the mail the other day, so will be doing those soon. Nice work, your enjoyment shows in the results. :) I am a construction and conversion nut myself but I work almost exclusively in 25-28mmm 1/56-1/60th. |

Yes, converting is fun, unfortunately it's almost become a compulsion, when I buy a mini nowadays (last 10-15years) I buy it for what I can convert it to or improve, rather than what it is, and it does slow things down considerably, hardly even paint a figure without converting it in some way. |

Well I never knew one could put Greenstuff onto soft plastic figures. Polystyrene as for Perrys boxed sets, sure. You work is superb and, even if it takes longer, every figure is unique and yours. why did the WWII British require to wear a cod piece, as shown on your site? |

Not a cod piece, the cut of Napoleonic trousers is different to the modern Brit trousers, when painted it should blend in, I hope. |

I'll be building a 1/72nd Wurttemberg army soon, but not planning any serious conversion work at all. Hope to post pics when I do, but I have to wrap-up a smallish Crimean War project first. The work you're doing is awesome! |

Nice conversions indeed. Deadhead does have a point as the trouser flap could be thinned with a sharp knife. Super imagination, that's the style with no limits to what can be done. 1/72 Rules! Best wishes, Chris |

How did you do the bayonets? They look terrific. |

Bayonets are just thin plasticard superglued on. |

The cod pieces….I was kidding. I was trying to be so witty and supercilious (thank God for spell check, I was sure that needed two Ls. Still does not look right however) |

Very nice! I had to go to your site to make sense of the WWII figures – what an interesting conversion! I think I have that figure kicking around and now need to take a good look at it for Napoleonic possibilities. You're right, conversion becomes an obsession! But it's liberating, in that the limitations (or complete lack) of figures stops being a barrier. And I agree with Chris – 1/72nd rules! Bill |

Yes, to be honest figures just become armatures, and you can do what you want with them, I'm pretty confident I can make pretty much anything I want, but it's good to find figures close to what you need, just to lessen the work load. |
