"North Star Models (not to be confused with North Star Military Figures) is a Latvian/Ukrainian company that produces various 3D modeled figures and kits in a wide variety of scales.

I first became aware of their existence from their eBay store, where I could scarcely believe that the picture of their Girl Mechanic model was actually 1/72 scale.

To see if the picture was too good to be true, I decided to purchase a few models directly from North Star and have a look. Flat rate shipping to North America runs €16.00 EUR, and takes over three months to arrive at the moment…."

That is truly impressive sculpting, for 1/72 scale figures. The realistic proportions, anatomical accuracy, etc., is really exceptional. The painting is also impressively accurate, and realistic. The detail in the car's tire, is also truly impressive for 1/72 scale.

Looking carefully at the unpainted version, in front of the ruler, she is actually 27-28 mm tall; in 1/72 scale, that would make her 6'4" to 6'7" tall -- a very tall person! A six-foot-tall person, is 72 inches; 1/72 scale, would bring that figure down to one inch tall, or 25.4 mm tall. Doing the math, 27 mm x 72 = 1,944 mm/25.4 = 76.5 inches, or 6' 4.5" tall.

Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

Skeptical, but impressed, nonetheless. Cheers!
