"EXPLOSIONS have rocked the Iranian capital of Tehran, according to online reports. This marks the third blast in three weeks for the country.

Another deadly explosion was heard in western Tehran on Friday, according to local reports of a blast at a missile warehouse.

However, sources claim there have been more than one in multiple regions. An intelligence official told The New York Times said that Israel was possibly behind the attack…"

Thresher, those things are supposed to blow up, they just need to work out the timing thing.

I would say serves them right, except for the Iranian civilians.

Assuming that this isn't some symptom of the endemic corruption/lack of competence and oversight within the RG's shadow-state military industrial complex. I know Israeli intelligence are supposed to good, but there are limits. This has been happening a lot recently and there doesn't even seem to have been that many show trials. Except for foreign political hostages! I don't think you don't get away with this much sabotage without serious inside help (or I suppose Iranian security could be unreasonably woeful). Between this and the protests you wonder just how many Iranians are down with the programme?

The various factions that run Iran haven't figured out how to spin the situation yet. Some may want to spin it to make others look bad, and in any case they may not have agreement on which external enemy gets them the best play at home: Israel? USA? Saudi Arabia? Too many choices.

There are a LOT of people that are not happy with their current "leadership" living in Iran too, so sabotage by them is not out of the question.

My previous posting was mainly sarcasm, with a hint of reality.

Let's add another opposition faction to the mix shall we, just to increase the Iranian leadership's paranoia, in case they have agents reading this, e.g. disaffected militant Yemenis who dislike Iran meddling in their home country.
