Hello, I recently got my first 2mm renaissance miniatures. I`d like to play a game with them, but I am missing some rules. Is there any simple ruleset which could be applied to 2mm minis? Since my "opponent" is somewhat new to wargaming too, I am hoping for something that can be used quickly without having to read 50 pages or so. I`d be thankful for any suggestion! |

I think Neil Thomas' One Hour Wargames rules might fit your requirements. There's an active Facebook group. |

Irregular Miniatures has rules for 2mm that they package with their battlepacks. Well worth the money, and you can expand out your minis at the same time. irregularminiatures.co.uk |

Look at Junior General, simple rules sets that allow a quick game. Here is a link to a 30 Years War Scenario. link |

Check out Bob Cordery's Portable Wargame series – one on Pike & Shot period is in preparation now – by looking at his blog Wargaming Miscellany: link |

Any stand removal system will work for 2mm. All you have to do is scale down movement and firing distances to correspond with your new frontage. Say your fellows are based on a 30mm frontage. Take the 25mm DBR, which calls for a 60mm frontage, and cut all the distances in half. Works every time. Note that if you're using 2mm blocks of mixed pike and shot, you will need rules which provide for that. |

Any of the Neil Thomas sets (the Pike and Shot or the One Hour Wargames ones) would do. I tend to use quite a lot of 2mm blocks on sabot bases. The Tercios do look rather grand then. |

Twilight of Divine Right from Pike and Shot Society. The rules author has a lot of 2mm figures, which he used when play- testing the rules. |
