Sumerian Chariots in 6mm

Remember back in 2005, when I promised pictures of those Sumerian chariot stands in 6mm?

I have been working on a 10mm project here in San Antonio Texas. A group of us have embraced "To the Strongest" rules in 10mm scale. I went with Republican Romans. We are members of the Lone Star Historical Miniatures (LSHM) club of Texas.

Legio II (Red) compete (minus the labeling). This force consists of:

5 stands Velites
5 stands Hastati
5 stands Principes
5 stands Triarii
4 stands Heavy Cavalry

These are Old Glory 10mm figures – they come 5 to a strip, I decided to separate the figures and mount them individually staggering them a bit on the stand. I still need to get some Legion and Army command.

Legio III (Blue) is about 75% done and will have the same organization.

Very nice.

Very nice indeed! I specially like those shields, are they painted or did you use decals?

I hope not being hijacking your thread but I also painted a 10mm Republican Roman army to play the art of war but finally used to play to the strongest, and I think you could be interested in seeing it.

Very nice Blacksmith. The shields are paper decals sized and printed to 10mm and cut out and glued onto the shields.

what manufacturer are your figures, I like the command stands.

That's a lot of work!
All my army except some of the command stands are from Magister Militum (old casts with a lot of flash) and the foot commands are from Pendraken's new casts, clean and sharp.
