If TMP has a Hall of Fame for AAR's, this should be admitted on the first ballot. It is in every respect superb presentation, made all the more noteworthy for being the very first wargamer post I have ever read to contain the word "opprobrium". Clearly the author is a man of letters.

I doff my bicorne and bow low in the most respectful fashion to the author.

+1 Blutarski! Artful and gaming display of the highest order.

Sounds like a great battle Barry, I'm amazed how you managed to control so many ships and remember which ones have actually performed an action that move.

Aha! Good spot Dave. I took a photo before the game started, all the ships in position were named. Visual recognition of the nature avoids any labels or markers on the table. During the battle I tracked them on the roster sheet as it allows recording of
First broadside
Catastophic damage
Hits incoming and outgoing
Officer casualties
etc

to be recorded/ticked as we go. I also fought it in three parts, downloaded both the AAR and the photos after each so it wasn't a mammoth task at the end.

Thanks Blutarski and BR for the kind comments. My Mother would be pleased that I paid attention during my education. :)

Very well done! I might even say, excessively well done! grin

You make the most inspiring AARs I've ever seen.

Thank You YA.

I truly hope, not excessive.

It sounds so gratuitous!

That's a lot of work, Barry, to give us an excellent AAR! The photos, ships, water, and town are top-notch. Thanks!

I had enough trouble keeping track of just 5/6 ships in our previous games trying to remember which had already gone.

Thanks John, I look forward to your next battle report! See if you can win this time! :)
