I think the correct terminology is LTL – Less than Lethal. Janes Defence Weekly taught me that in 1994. |

Well, if it's not for the battlefield and not for use against civilians, what's that leave? I guess security forces for bases, ships, embassies, or other facilities would use it on intruders. "Shohhhking" is another thing the C&C Tesla troopers used to say. |
