….Enemies From 300 Feet Away

"THE US Marine Corps is testing a powerful electroshock weapon that can zap enemies from 300 feet away.

Dubbed "Specter", the non-lethal projectile can be fired from a shotgun and downs targets using a taser-like electric shock.

The weapon is the brainchild of Colorado-based tech research firm Harkind Dynamics and is part-funded by the US Department of Defense, New Scientist reports…"

Note the "…non-lethal projectile…". Not meant for a battlefield. Perhaps embassy guards?

I think the correct terminology is LTL – Less than Lethal. Janes Defence Weekly taught me that in 1994.

The idea of shotgun taser round has about since the 90's IIRC.

Well, if it's not for the battlefield and not for use against civilians, what's that leave?

I guess security forces for bases, ships, embassies, or other facilities would use it on intruders.

"Shohhhking" is another thing the C&C Tesla troopers used to say.
