How can I tell what 15mm Battlefront infantry are plastic?

I thought they were all plastic at this point?

Most of the new sets are – if you do a google search of the specific blister you should be able to tell which ones are and are not.

Example: US716 – you can see pictures of the old style blister with metal miniatures. US784 you can see plastic sprues.

I believe the FOW web site also details whether a set is plastic when you search up the item code.

It says plastic on the box, and will in its product description.

Ah – but do they not also do two types of plastic?

I would advise against buying plastics.

why?

Not getting into the "plastic bad, metal good" stuff (I personally prefer plastic any day), yes they do two types, there's a soft bendier plastic and a hard plastic. The sprues will show which on the product page, if it looks like an actual rectangular sprue with a border it's the hard plastic, if it's just a sprue with models dangling off of it it's the softer plastic.

Kind of bothersome, honestly. For example the Mid-War Panzergrenadiers are the soft plastic, but the Late-War Panzergrenadiers are the hard plastic. I'm pretty sure the only/major difference is that mid war has an anti-tank gun and late war has panzerfausts/shrecks.

They have now started using the newer thermoplastic as well .
