I am looking for a manufacturer of a T shaped pole I can use for standards that are draped across a pole like

Most figures come with an open hand so I am rigging up my own thing now and it looks terrible. Any suggestions?

I just make my own 'cross' and 't' bar banner poles. I file a notch out of the pole, and a corresponding notch in the crossbar, and superglue together. Once the banner is wrapped around and varnished, they are super tough (the ones I have done have lasted for years) thumbs up!

I do buy in tipped spears, however (the banner pole will one of those if it is the type that has a spear tip atop) as I find flattening and shaping speartips to be much harder than doing flags and banners.

Well suit yourself, but I just cut a North Star spear or pike to suitable length and use the cut-off bit for the cross-bar. Wrap some thread on the join and hit it with a drop of superglue. Note that this gives you the option of a suitable finial--just drill out something and put it on the spear/pike tip. I've been very happy with mine so far.

I used brass rod to construct mine. Use needle nose pliers to fashion a ‘U' form in the middle of the crossbar. I used epoxy glue to fix the two pieces together.

Second link you can see the banners draped.

There're ARMI 140 & 141 from Mirliton

which are currently on sale but two things to note:

[1] these are cast and any joint will require support with something like thin wire.
[2] buying from Canada is not cost effective if you only buy one pack.

What about using toothpicks? Cut, Wood Glue the crossbar in place. Cheap, fast, and easy. Cheers!

Soldering is actually pretty easy, if you don't have to make working electrical connections. You can get a basic soldering kit pretty cheaply these days.

Styrene rod is even easier to work with, and styrene cement holds really well between bare plastic joints. If you need something stiffer, you can get plastic rod with embedded wire core.
