I've just uploaded onto my blog some images of the latest recruited unit for my SYW/ FIW British force for those who might be interested.

Yes, a good-looking unit.

I ask the group about the colours and facings of the 24th a this time.

Funcken in lace wars has the facints as an earthy light green, like the underside of the Willow tree leaf here in the USA. Funcken is not the best of sources, but willow green was also the facing color of the 24rh Foot, Warwick, in the Peninsular War.

I assume the regimental colour or flag would also have been this lighter green for both those eras.

Did the colour and facings change to this dark green for the AWI?

Also, was the King's colour on the left – as here – in the AWI, or should it be on its own right as for other wars?

Just askin'
