The Navy is pushing into unmanned systems in a big way, simultaneously developing unmanned aerial systems (UASs and UAVs) that can operate thousands of miles from friendly forces, as well as ships (USVs) and undersea craft (UUVs) that can operate autonomously for weeks at a time.
