Hi there all,

Who do you think make the coolest figurines in 28 / 30mm for full ranges for the Fatimid, Ayyoubid and Mamluk armies.

Stay safe,

Paskal

Depends what you consider to be cool …

Wow. That's a tough question as there is a lot of good figures out there. I personally have all three of those armies in 28mm and I have mixed figures from Perry, Old Glory, Magister Militum, Essex, Gripping Beast, Footsore, and Eureka. They are all good in their own right and each company has strengths and weaknesses. For example Old Glory has excellent figures for the Fatimid army in their line, while maybe not being great for the Mamluk era. Perry miniatures are some of my favorite of all time, but are more Turkish in flavor. I really like the Gripping Beast and Footsore infantry ranges as well. The plastic Gripping Beast figures also are worth looking at. Bottom line is that you have a LOT of options. Google them online and see which ones that you like. Enjoy the process.

I used the GB plastic Arabs for my forces of Saladin.

What I want are specific figures for the armies of each dynasty.

A simple request to each of your specified manufacturers should result in you having sufficient information to make your decision.

I am looking for this because I think that the fighters of the Fatimid, Ayyoubid and Mamluk armies were not wearing the same outfits, since they are from different eras and for other reasons, so I do not want generic figurines.

Muslim "uniformology" during the crusades is not easy … …

If you want 28/30mm check out Artizan and Crusader.
