Something I've been looking for, but unable to find, is stuff to put on a 15mm base. I'd like to make a gun, for example, have a low set of sandbags in front of it, or a few (cut) logs to make an bit of an emplacement in front of the gun, perhaps in combination with regular basing material. Other things it would be interesting to add would be some tree stumps, for example. But I've been stubbornly unable to find anyone who makes 15mm sandbags, resin, white metal castings or some other thing, or a simple 15mm log casting, or a casting of some tree stumps, or perhaps a crate. I'd assume -somebody- would make castings or whatever of those. Anyone know somebody who does? Thanks. |

For tree stumps and logs try finding a real life twig, letting it dry out, cutting it as necessary and then varnishing it when it is glued to the base. |

I've used some of these resin cast stumps from Secret Weapon Miniatures on Flames of War bases. I thought they looked pretty good. link |

You can make sandbags from modelling clay. Make the sandbags, put them together to make the sandbag part of the emplacement, and bake them per the instructions on the bag. After they've cooled, paint them. Somewhere with my Airfix HO scale stuff is a machine gun emplacement that a friend made just like I described back in the 1980s. |
